Greetings to our members
End of Season Update We hope that you and your families are all
safe and well and have come through the recent events unscathed! Here is a
quick update about the end of season - as you will appreciate, things are
a bit fluid because of the earthquake situation, but we will try to keep
you as informed as possible about any changes.
Prize Giving We still intend to run the end of season prize giving
on Sunday 12 September at the Cashmere Club as planned. The Cashmere Club
has come through the recent earthquake and aftershocks unscathed and so we
are able to continue with our plans. If there are any changes to this, we
will advise you via the website - otherwise we will proceed with the
original timetable of;
9.30am – Somerfield Midgets
10.15am – Midgets Green, Black, Blue, White & Red
11am – Midgets Girls, Gold, Maroon, Yellow, Orange & Brown
11.45am – 7th grade
1pm - 8th grade
2pm - 9th grade
2.45pm – 10th & 11th grades
4pm – 12th grade and above
Gear Return We will be down at the Cashmere Club on Saturday 11
September in the morning from 9.30 til 12.30 so that you can return any
gear. We will also collect gear at the prize giving. Please ensure gear is
clean if possible.
Holiday Programme Fred will be running a holiday programme
in the second week of the September/October holidays (4th - 8th October).
Mornings (10.00am - 12.00am) are for ages 6-9 and afternoons (1.00pm -
4.00pm) are for 10th grade and above. Older kids can come all day if they
want and help with the younger ones in the morning. Cost is $25.00 per
week for morning or afternoon sessions. Registration forms will be
available on the website soon.
Mainland End of Season Because of logistical problems caused by the
recent earthquakes, Mainland has reluctantly decided to end the 2010
playing season without finishing off the catch-up games. Further details
are provided on the
Mainland
website. For those involved in the zonal programme, please keep an eye
on the Mainland site. Please bear with Mainland at this time as all their
staff are doing their best to sort out what has become a very complicated
situation.
