Hi to all members,
As we near the end of the season, it is good to observe the impressive performances of our premier A and B sides. From 17th grade down to 10th grade we have teams featuring at the top end of their leagues with many currently sitting in positions handy to the very top spot. Hopefully their good form will continue through to the end of the season and we will have a number of teams collecting certificates and trophies from Mainland football.
Our 12th grade boys have built on their early success with 7 picked to play for Canterbury teams in the recent Japan Cup.
At the younger level, our in-house programme has again proved very successful with teams from Woolston Tech adding to the fun at Centennial on a Saturday morning.
End of Season Saturday the 27th of August sees the last game of the in-house competition at Centennial Park. Would each 9th grade team please pull out the goal posts at their end and carry them to the pavilion to be broken down please?
If any of you are able to assist with breaking them down and putting them in the sheds - please make yourselves known to Fred and Rob. "Many hands make light work".
Holidays We have booked Action Indoor at Iverson Terrace again for the September / October holiday break and will again offer a very reasonably priced fun holiday programme for our Juniors.
It is hoped to also run an Indoor Tournament across the age groups ,which we will open up to other clubs to participate in along with our club members, so do not lose touch with your team mates and watch the website for more details later this month.
Gear Return This year we will be doing a very important gear audit and require team organizers, parents and players to be diligent in assisting to ensure all club strips, gear and equipment is returned clean and in team lots.
We have set aside the morning of Saturday 10th September 9-30 12-00 for this (not prize giving please), venue is the Cashmere Club.
Once again it will be a small team of volunteers organizing this so please assist by cooperating with this request.
