19th May 2011 Update on Establishment Meeting with Woolston Technical Merger In January 2011 Cashmere Wanderers and Woolston Technical agreed to create a new club. Since that time the an establishment committee has been meeting on a regular basis. The committee now seeks input on the new club name and provides the following guidelines: Naming Objective The name must reflect the reason for existence of the club - a football club for all levels of the game, located in the southern suburbs of Christchurch Criteria - Easily identifiable as an association football club - The location of the club is clear - from a local, regional and national perspective - Name must look and sound like a football club. 10th May 2011 Starters/Midgets Update Starters/Midgets Squad lists are now available. To view the squad lists please click on the following link Starters/Midgets Squad Lists. If you would like to assist the coach of your team please send an email by clicking on the following link Grade Mgr Starters & 7th – 9th. Start date is Saturday 14 May. You will be contacted before Saturday about start times which will be between 9.00am and midday. Starters/Midgets Information Evening Wednesday 11 May, 7.30pm at Cashmere Club All Coaches, Team Managers and parents are welcome. You will learn about the programme offered to the Starters/Midgets age group and the importance of the involvement of parents in supporting the coaches 6tth May 2011 Cashmere Wanderers Junior In-house Competition 7th - 9th grade games for Saturday 7th May 2011. Due to the ground conditions the In House competition normally held at Centennial Park tomorrow has been relocated to Action Indoor Sports Centre in Iversen Terrace. Games will be starting 1.00pm through until to 4.30pm.Draws... 5 May 2011 Team Lists 7-9th Grades 7th -9th grade team lists are now available. Players must have completed their 2011 registration and paid subs to secure their place in a team. 2011 Canterbury Introductory Referee Courses Mainland Football are again running Introductory Level Referee Courses and these are free until 30 April. After that date, the cost will be $15 per person. The dates are::
Course 2 Christchurch: English Park Mon 11th April 2011 (6pm–10pm) Course 3 Christchurch: Halswell Football Club Wed 27th April 2011 (6pm–10pm) Course 4 Christchurch: English Park Wed 31st May 2011 (6pm–10pm) Course 5 Christchurch: English Park Tues 28th June 2011 (6pm–10pm) Course 6 Christchurch: English Park Wed 27th July 2011 (6pm–10pm) Cost: Free until 30 April 2011 then $15 per person.
